There’s been a bit of buzz about Sony ditching their full-frame development in favour of concentrating on their NEX line-up. We are starting to see some serious kit from them in this segment, especially with the NEX-VG10 video camera based on the NEX system. But does this spell the end of full-frame Alpha cameras? Apparently, the full-frame DSLRs are not profitable for them and are looking to milk the mirror-less market some more. The assumption is that Sony will still produce the APS-C sized DSLRs, but are Sony slowly getting out of the DSLR market?
Do you think Sony should ditch full-frame or keep it? Let us know your opinions!

I think one of Sony’s problems is their DSLR offerings aren’t anything special compared to the likes of Canon and Nikon right now. In this climate of micro 4/3rds, I’d be sad to lose ANY full frame manufacturer. I’d love to see Sony try to best Pentax on the higher end market with a Medium Format camera… Prolly wont happen though…
I doubt that Sony would ditch their Full Frame lineup. Because then there would be no point in releasing the new Zeiss 24mm f2 since it’s a Full Frame lens. And I wouldn’t say that nobody likes Sony Alphas Cameras. It’s just that they’re just warming up at the moment and the users are just staying on the down low. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Canon user myself, but I do see potential for Sony Alphas. And I wish them the best.
P/s: Kai, can you guys do a review on the Canon 5D? I wanna see what you guys think of that camera about the Image Quality and ISO performance. Thanks.
